Друзья, представляем вам видеоклип на песню «Незабудка», посвященную трагическим событиям весны 1915-го года, которые положили начало массовому уничтожению армянского населения в течение последующих лет, известному сейчас как геноцид армян. Этот исторический факт до сих пор не признается рядом стран и недостаточно широко освещен. Своей композицией мы хотим обратить ваше внимание на актуальную проблему и генетическую боль Армении и отдаем свою дань памяти многочисленным жертвам этого преступления против человечности.
Виталий Демиденко, бас-гитарист группы и автор текста песни: «Про геноцид армян я начал узнавать, как ни символично это сейчас звучит, именно после встречи со знаком той самой Незабудки, все чаще замечая его в виде наклеек на автомобилях и дверях магазинов, в виде сувенирных значков. Видимо, это было как-то связано со столетним юбилеем событий 1915-го года, когда этой символики было много на улицах вокруг. Я стал интересоваться, что означает этот символ и обнаружил в интернете настолько душераздирающие факты той трагедии, что они уже не смогли оставить меня равнодушным после прочитанного и увиденного. Мысль об этом горе и открытой вековой ране целого народа глубоко запала мне в душу и стала тихо ждать своего часа, своей музыкальной канвы, чтобы, в нужный момент став музой, вырасти из нее готовой песней.
И вот, осенью 2018-го года наш гитарист Рубен Казарьян (носитель армянских корней, как и Лусинэ Геворкян, которая является голосом и лицом LOUNA, что тоже символично для нашей группы в контексте этой песни) приносит свои гитарные идеи на барабанные рисунки Леонида Кинзбурского, и мы всей группой создаем аранжировки к композиции, в которой настолько органично переплелись мрачные, тревожные гармонии, жесткие, суровые гитарные риффы и элементы восточной этники, что слова про те исторические события сами собой стали ложиться на вокальную линию, рождая текст песни «Незабудка».
С тех пор произошло немало серьезных пертурбаций и в составе группы, и в вокальной аранжировке самой песни, из-за чего ее слова менялись, а запись откладывалась. «Незабудка» не вошла в наш альбом 2020-го года «Начало нового круга», но, наконец, обретя новый текст в 2021-м, обрела и свой особенный путь в виде отдельного сингла, выпуск которого мы решили приурочить к 106-й годовщине геноцида армян вместе с видеоклипом на эту песню, в котором использованы документальные хроники жутких событий той весны.
Нашей «Незабудкой» мы хотим напомнить людям, насколько ужасными и бесчеловечными могут быть как последствия вражды и нетерпимости по национально-религиозному признаку, будь то армянская трагедия или еврейский Холокост, так и государственные репрессии в отношении мирного инакомыслящего населения внутри своей страны и в соседних братских государствах, которые мы видели не только в нашем общем прошлом, но и с болью и тревогой наблюдаем в последнее время. Какой бы жуткой ни была истинная правда и какой бы приторной ни была насаждаемая ложь, время так или иначе расставит все на свои места, а генетическая память людей будет прорастать все новыми и новыми незабудками, которые будут всегда напоминать о совершенном зле, чтобы не прощать его никогда. Так зачем же тогда продолжать плодить зло или оставаться равнодушными к злу, совершаемому другими? Пока у человечества не будет ответа на эти несложные вопросы, у могил своих так и будут стоять незабудками мертвецы. Всегда.»

LOUNA presents the song called «Forget-Me-Not», as a tribute to the tragic events of the spring of 1915, which marked the beginning of the mass extermination of the Armenian population in the following years, now known as the Armenian Genocide. This historical fact is still not recognized by a number of countries and receives little coverage. With this song, the band wants to draw attention to the ongoing troubles and historical pain of Armenia, and to pay tribute to the memory of the numerous victims of this crime against humanity.
According to Vitaly Demidenko, the bass guitarist of the band and author of the lyrics: «I began to learn about the Armenian Genocide, as symbolic as it may sound at this time, after encountering the widely-used forget-me-not flower – I started noticing it increasingly often, seeing it on stickers on cars, on shop doors, and as souvenir badges. Apparently, this was somehow connected with the centenary of the events of 1915, when this symbol was often encountered on the streets. I was interested in its meaning, and after Googling about it, I read such heartbreaking facts about the tragedy that I could no longer be indifferent. The thought of this grief and the centuries-old open wound of an entire people sank deep into my soul, and began to quietly wait for the formation of its musical canvas, so that having become a much-needed source of inspiration, it would surface as a song at the right time.
Thus, in the fall of 2018, our guitarist Rouben Kazarian (who is of Armenian descent, as is LOUNA’s voice and frontwoman, Lusine Gevorkyan – a fact that is also symbolic for our band in the context of this song) layered his guitar ideas on the drum parts written by Leonid Kinzbursky, and we have created the arrangement for the composition. Within it, dark, disturbing harmonies, heavy, harsh guitar riffs and elements of eastern ethnic music are so organically intertwined, that the words about those historical events began to naturally emerge from the vocal line, giving birth to the lyrics of the song «Forget-Me-Not».
Since then, there have been many serious changes in the band’s line-up and in the vocal arrangement of the song which caused us to rewrite its lyrics and postpone the recording. «Forget-Me-Not» was not included in our album «The Beginning of a New Circle» released in 2020. Finally, however, with new lyrics being written in 2021, it has found its own special path as a single, which we decided to release close to the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, along with a music video containing documented chronicles of the terrible events happened that spring.
With our song «Forget-Me-Not», we want to remind people how horrible and inhumane the consequences of hostility and intolerance on ethnic, religious, and any other grounds are, be it the Armenian Genocide or the Jewish Holocaust, as well as state repression against peaceful dissident populations within our country and in its neighbouring brotherly states. We have seen it not only in our shared past, but with great pain and anxiety have witnessed it also happen again recently. No matter how terrible the honest truth is and how sugar-coated the imposed lies can be, time will somehow put everything in its place. The memory of numerous people that is passed on from generation to generation will sprout with more and more new forget-me-nots, that will always remind us of this evil so that it won’t ever be forgiven. Why then do we continue to breed evil or remain indifferent to the evil that is done by others? Until humanity has an answer to these simple questions, the dead will stand at their graves in the forms of forget-me-nots, left by those who carry their memory. Always.»
